All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him. ~ Ps 22:27
Lord, when we think of Mary at the foot of the cross supported by family and friends it is a week for families to cling together. As we pray for families and friends we also pray with those for whom they pray – grieving, ill, missing, hungry, cold, thirsty, all the conditions of humanity.
We pray for the families and friends of those killed in the fire in Kemerovo, Siberia, Russia.
We pray for the families and friends of the hostages killed in Trebes, France.
We pray for the family and friends in Russia of Sergei Skripal, and his daughter Yulia, poisoned in Salisbury, England.
We pray for the families and friends of the Australian cricket team “shamed” by the cheating action of a few team members.
We pray for the families and friends of Abiy Ahmed, supporting him as the first Oromo leader voted in as leader of Ethiopia’s ruling coalition.
We pray for the families and friends of the gangs in Fortaleza, Brazil, caught in the latest atrocities which require police escorts for buses.
We pray for the families and friends of those still living in Eastern Ghouta, Syria.
We pray for the families and friends of those who demand and expect privilege because they are white, colored, male, female, rich, proud and think the world owes them.
We pray for our family and friends. All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him. Amen
