Loving God,
Help us to learn to love again,
To care as we did way back when.
May we care as children do in simple ways.
Give us some calm amidst the chaotic days.
God, we are in a moment when we need time;
We need your presence in order to overcome this climb.
We are overcome by the lack of joy, love, and peace!
Oh God, how we do need some kind of clear release!
Give courage to each place, space, and nation
As we dare to hope for a new kind of deliberation.
Be we with those in Iran, where women choose to protest
Against the years of violence and misogyny we long to correct.
We pray for Gaza surviving throughout the cold night.
As people seek safety and food rations, hold your people tight.
For all violence and hate to cease, we do desire;
May our cries for harmony reach out like a bellowing choir.
For the weather of our world, as fires in Texas (USA) ravage the landscape
And melting Arctic ice caps teach us how climate comes into shape.
Be with us, God, in all the changes our world undergoes,
And in our communities, as we pray our hope blooms to be a rose.
May we offer our rose, our peace offerings, our heart
To you, me, and our community in which we all play a part.
May our love grow stronger;
May our time together be longer;
May you offer us a change
When we need to exchange.
Help us to seek our wisdom from above;
Teach us to speak words of unending love.
As we say to you once again
A loving and hopeful Amen.
